Parks and Pet Stores

Author: Before taking your pet to the dog park or the pet store. There are several things to consider. Does your pet have all thier vaccinations? They are important. How social is your pet? If your dog is afraid or reacts aggressively towards other dogs when it is afraid, perhaps your pet is not ready for the park or the pet store.
Even if your pet is dog social – Are they people social? You do not want to overwhemld your pet with strangers, whether they are 2 or 4 legged, if they are not ready.
Also consider whether or not your pet has been spayed or neutered. It is better for your pet and other pets if they are. If your female dog is in “season” they should not go to the park or the pet stores. Your pet being in “season” can cause many problems with other male dogs at the park or stores, including fights.
